i have this fren that will be having his shop's anniversary cum b dae celebration... and i asked him if we can perform as it serves as a good performing and showcasing platform for us.

venue: pasir ris chalet

theme: the party theme is retro but client didn't restirct us any themes.
coztumes: no specific req. just standardise on color will do
hair: wadeva.. be simple... not too faciful
stage: not comfirmed... haven seent he venue itself.

Yeah, this is regarding Saturday practice. We need to be all geared up.

Here are the details:
Outstanding Verses (meaning those we have not done)

3. 3rd Chorus (Runie's modified part)

Need to tidy up Verses
1. 1st Verse
2. 1st Chorus
3. 2nd Chorus
4. Hip Hop

With all these, we need to finish it up by Saturday. Everyone, need you to seek inspiration. Don't say try cos we can no longer try. We only can DO IT. Aight? & if you say you'll try, and if you've got no inspiration. Your mind would give your body a reason that you have tried your best and its not your fault you cant come out with any dancesteps. Bullshit. You guys are all dancers and you guys CAN do it. Aighht?

Here's the agenda tmr:

11.30am - 12.45pm - Tidy up ALL verses
12.45pm - 1.30pm - 2nd Verse

I can't find my inspiration.
I can't choreograph dancesteps.
I don't know what the fuck is contemporary.
I've got deadlines to meet.

If that goes through your mind subconsciously, you're not alone. I am too. & if that goes through your mind, it's a good sign. It means that you're responsible and you want to do a good job. However, reality sets in. We all have our other many commitments and we feel like giving up. But ask yourself, what makes you stay in Revo? Cos there's a cute guy/girl inside? -Looks at revo-tia picture- I doubt so. If your reason is the same as mine then we all share the same passion and that's to dance.

Child Aid is a good opportunity for us to gain publicity but it doesn't mean that we must get it. We can just treat it like another routine. It doesn't hurt to have more routines right? I know some of you are very pessimistic and as your crew leader, I'm the pillar of strength. But please comprehend that I'm human too. & I get dejected at times. One of you kept telling me that, its such a short time and it's very hard. yadadada~ If you think that way too. I'm probably very stupid in your eyes, because wouldn't I know that when I called them up?

We all decided on this. Let's make the best of it. You are not alone. Revo is in this together.

to all revotians...

pls do send me an idea of your ideal costume for this coming performance so that i can use it for reference, to suit your preference.

also, may i request all revotians to get your very own set of basic make up. That includes, foundation/base cream, compact powder, blusher/bronzer(depending on your skin), concealer, and basic colors of eyeshadow(just to add little shine). This is because we cannot use the same set of cosmetics for all skins and colors. Choose the brand that suits you most. Recommended brands: Fasio, ZA, RED EARTH, Stila, Origins. These are more suitable for our age gps. and ya, better for skin. IF you dunno, can come ask me.

Lastly, may i have the info abt the details abt the performance? like venue, time, date. and the agenda for the coming practice...

Just to add on and clarify what Fyo's post(the previous post) meant. Basically, we have recieved several e-mails asking whether we can teach rather than recruit people. Not that we are not willing to teach but we have upcoming performances which means we have a super tight schedule. Secondly, I don't think we would be qualified to teach. Lastly, we need to concentrate on doing up the crew and as the crew leader, I do not want my crew members to have any distractions apart from studies. Hope you guys understand.

HOWEVER, if you guys are interested in learning dance. I would suggest Jitterbugs, Studio Wu or California Fitness. They have qualified professional teachers and you would definitely learn stuff there.

To end it, the post that Fyo typed(the previous post) is definitely NOT a personal attack to anyone.

Revo-tia is not a dance CLASS or whatever. it's a dance CREW. so we dont expect any dance-virgins who are seeking for dance instructors to teach them or whatsoever. we are not instructors. we are just a crew of dancers sharing the same interests for dance and music. to clear this misunderstanding, we want and need recruits who are able to dance; been exposed to dance, and not a dance-virgin.

i would like to see more coming :)

was juz hoping during the free time that u guyz have at home or what...practice infrnt of a mirror the steps we have been going through n try to spot the mistakes in it...dis is how we gona succeed as a dance crew alryte??? for thoz hu 4get steps easily and have difficulty doing certain steps...dis especially applies to u ok??? bt in general...dis is for every1...INCLUDING ME of coz...

if all the steps have been mastered...GOOD JOB...dan proceed to improve on the basic hip hop grooves like shakes n jerks n popz...

we can do it revo-tia...we juz need faith n determination...
